What is a social presence in terms of personal brand management?
How do you advise creating a social presence? and how to evaluate it?
Is it worth to integrate social presence for personal branding purpose in any case, or is it only for some specific professions?

My own view of this is we all have a brand - the things we are known for.
It is an accumulation of all the impressions we've made on other people when we've met them, someone has heard about us, read about us etc. The web is just another way of hearing about someone or something and as a vehicle for communication and information it's just as valid for forming opinions and perceptions. People know this and have one persona (brand) for their LinkedIn profile and often a quite different one for their Facebook profile.

We are now facing new media, and more and more social media experts are showing up. There should be "good practices" and "measure tools" that will help a professional in increasing their social presence and get control on it, as we already have such for other well-known media.
