Crisis vs Disaster Management? Does-it make any difference?

Some people could think that a 'disaster' is obviously related to natural root causes and a 'crisis' to human activity. Some others prefer to assume a "disaster" as a level of crisis, defined (quantified) in terms of consequences whatever the root cause.

In both cases, the main issue is to clearly define what we are expecting to save and what we are ready to loose.... and to remain accountable for both.

Okay. Crisis is about difficulties while disaster is more of a tragedy.

This means every disaster is a crisis but not all crises could be a disaster.

Once the difference has been magnified, management becomes easier.
