question

Are XperLink performances good enough?

We had some remarks about performances of the GUI. Do you experience the same ? What do you believe must be improved ? Wich action/page is too long to be executed/loaded ? Your feedback will be welcomed !! Thanks

So far, so good I would say. :-)
Performing a load test would actually help to identify any potential bottlenecks and ensure that the website can actually cope with the expected peak load.

Thank you, your feedback is really appreciated!

You're right, load tests were a must before launching the website. We could do that on the so-called "alpha" platform (this one is the "Beta") and went up to 100 concurrent users using the platform, while 10 of them were posting answers simultaneously.

We could see the performance starts to be impacted a bit beyond these limits. Especially at post, where a lot of operation are synchronously performed.

If what you have today is fine, it will then be the case for a while (we have max 5 users connected simultaneously and never get 2 posts at the same time so far).

The question remains: what peak load to we expect? Difficult to say ... the highest the better.

To all who are interested : the price of success is ... decreasing performances !
We planed to move on a better server very soon (1 or 2 weeks) - a larger box with high speed discs and more CPU.
In addition, we'll be adding more cache to get fast "feed" page.
Be patient ...
Thanks
